My name is Alena Vasilevich and I am an interpreter and translator based in Rhone-Alpes, France.Born in 1984 in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, I had lived there before I moved to France for studies in 2004.
I graduated from Grenoble Stendhal University, and obtained an equivalent of B.A. in Applied Foreign Languages (English/Russian) with specialization in Business and International Trade in 2008, followed by a Master’s degree in International Relations (NGOs and International Organizations) from the Institute of Political Sciences, which I successfully completed in 2010.
During studies at the Master program in Science Po I completed internships at the Amnesty International Australia and at the United Nations’ Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva, Switzerland.
Doing several occasional missions on translation and interpretation since 2008, I finally set up my own company «Vasilëk» («Cornflower») to provide different types of clients with English / French / Russian / Belarusian translation, interpretation and assistance services on a regular basis.
I cooperate with private companies, public organizations, international organizations, NGOs, media, translation agencies and individuals. Since 2014 I am registered as a sworn translator at the Grenoble Regional Court, France.
